Trade Update, Watchlist, Sport and Politics

I added two shorts yesterday, AKAM and FCX. I also went long PBR, JASO and AAPL.

Here are the stocks I've been keying on from my focus list:

Long: PBR, USO, FLSR, CPLA, AAPL, HDB, MBT, RIG, ATK, MA, MON, MOS, AGU, JASO, AAPL, MTL, RSX, VIP, STP, POT

Short: DRYS, TBSI, DSX, PHM, HOV, FXI, PCU, FCX, AKAM, NCTY, LFC, MER, FRE, TGT, LOW, NILE, GG, RIO

Off-Topic:
Is anybody surprised that a mean, angry old pitcher who posted a 2.30 era at the age of 44 took steroids? I hope the sporting public is as incensed about Clemens as it has been towards Bonds. That might help restore my teetering faith that we live in a color blind society.

Why does nobody care when a football player tests positive for performance enhancing drugs (like defensive star Shawn Merriman), but in baseball it's a national crisis with Congress threatening to step in?

How does a guy like Bobby Petrino get away with his actions? If I were a parent of a kid considering attending Arkansas, there is no way in hell I would let that man coach my son.

I hope the Patriots beat the Jets 100-0. That probably won't be the score, but revenge will definately be sweet.

I can't stand Oprah, but I do hope her followers get out and vote for Obama.

Note to Oprah fans: she hasn't given away shit. When Oprah "gives" cars to her audience, it's Pontiac, not Oprah, you should be thanking.

A tale of two idiots: Huckabee and Romney. I wonder if the combined IQs of those two, plus junior Bush and Giuliani, are equal to that of one Bill Clinton.

I enjoy your blog, your stock info is great. But, I must admit I don't like that you call two gentlemen "idiots" even if you feel they are. Could you tell me what experience Mr. Obama has? I think he's got charsima, but I want the President to have experience at leading. Perhaps in another 6 years Mr. Obama would be a good choice, but right now? I don't think so. Would you buy stock in a company that has a CEO who only has minimal experience at lower level administration? If the answer is no, why would you entrust our nation to someone with the same credentials? Finally, I'm not looking for a heated debate. Please note the civility in my tone. IF you respond, please be just as civil? Thank you.

Wow, you have a lot of anger. You should take up meditation, or something.

Why do you post after the fact?

If there is a pick, then share with the community. Anyone can post the bought something or short something after the fact.

Lots of people are already jumping to Clemens defense. Imagine the reaction if they replaced Bonds with Clemans in the report.

Also looking for the pats to win by 50+

What makes you to short DRYS, TBSI? Is it technicals(Please explain) or Industry? Just for understanding purpose.

MS,

You certainly are passionate about your sports today.

People don't like Bobby because he is a jerk. Sosa is also named but people love him and they don't care. Not what you are on the outside but what you are on the inside.

Pats are beautiful to watch so I wish them well. Barring an injury to Brady, the Pats beat the Jets and Bills on general principles and then face a quandry against the Giants. If the Giants need to win, do you play Brady and Moss against a good d-line and blitzes?

CAP,
Huckabee is an idiot based on his mormons/devil comment. My reasons for thinking Romney is an idiot might upset some of my readers, so I'll abstain from going any further.

What experience is needed to be an effective President? Bush, and some would argue Bill, have shown being a former governor is not a guarantee for success. Cheney and Rumsfeld have a ton of experiece, yet helped Bush make some of the biggest blunders in this nation's history.

Obama has been a success in every stage of his life and I agree with him on most of the important issues. The fact that he was one of the few Democrats who had the balls to vote against the Iraq War tells me alot about his character. Great speech:

I would not call Mr. Obama's experiences "low level administration.

Thanks for the post.

Mr. Anonymous
I am a big believer in Zen and Taoist philosophy. I medidate every morning, though not in the classic sense. While I initially clear my mind, I then focus on issues I plan to tackle.

Fortune 8,
I usually post my trades same day. I didn't have time yesterday to do so.

Unless you are trying to piggyback my trades, it should make no difference when I post my trades. They are meant to be a learning tool.

Bubs,
Can you believe the line is Pats +23. I'd still put my money on the Pats.

Speaking of Clemens, Gardy (Twins coach) said he feels sorry for Clemens. I never heard this type of sympathy for Bonds.

Drys and TBSI: Both the industry and stock specific technical setup. Both look broken. Stock specific, looks like tops have formed and they are teetering below the 50 day MA.

Hello Market Speculator

If you have time can you do a video chart on your following positions:

AGU, NCTY, DRYS, STP, LFC

I'm currently long DRYS @85, how low do you think it can go?

I love the "idiot" comment. Off topic comments were fun to read. Keep it up.

Baseball players look like normal people and not some chiseled anomalies of humankind. Therefore, we take more offense at their illegal attempts to be superhuman.
